Hey y’all! I’m back at it again with some more information to help your healthcare organization flourish. I really love Instagram and I think you will too. It is basically a visual timeline, with very few words and lots of pictures. Just as popular as Twitter, as of today, Instagram has over 300 million users. That’s great right? That means 300 million users will be able to look at what your healthcare organization is up to.

Instagram Do’s

  • Do be creative. Make your Instagram your own and add a little flavor to it. That means getting a decent picture for your profile, making a creative bio, and add your organization’s website as well.
  • Do focus on engagement with your followers. Like any other social site, make sure that your followers are involved in what you post and vice versa.
  • Do be consistent. You want to make sure that you post often and that whatever you post goes along with the goals that you have set for your healthcare organization.
  • Do keep at it and don’t give up. Like other social sites, it takes a while before you get things running like how you want, but it is worth it.

Instagram Don’ts

  • Don’t be spam. Anything you post should be the real you and it should be authentic.
  • Don’t play games on your site. You’re here to network and make people want to be in engaged in your work, do not allow them to take you as a joke.
  • Don’t abuse hashtags, it gets annoying and people will be sure to unfollow you. So don’t do it.
  • Don’t be afraid to be creative. Instagram is your way to make your presence known via photos, don’t be afraid to take chances and get your name and credibility up. It’ll be worth the reward, trust me.
